This weekend will be a big one in Mexico as their starfighter, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, will be facing John Ryder with all of the titles at super middleweight on the line. To warm things up before the weekend, Canelo Alvarez Promotions will host a card in Guadalajara, MX, shown live and exclusively on ProBox TV.
In the main event, lightweight prospect Jonathan Lopez takes on Osvaldo Nunez (5-4) in what looks to be a good sturdy test for the lightweight prospect from Orlando, Florida. The co-feature will see super welterweight prospect Lazaro Lorenzana (10-0, 8 KOs) face Alex Rios (4-2-1, 1 KO). Lorenzana is from San Diego, CA, and was in a fight this past March against Cameron Krael (19-26-3, 6 KOs), which resulted in a unanimous decision victory for the 24-year-old prospect.
With these young gunns looking to warm things up for their promoter, who fights on Saturday night, it’ll be interesting to see how they do and their progression as they continue to develop their careers.
